“I know, I just..I just vanted to tell you how I feel too.” Her warmth had gone away as she slowly broke the hug, “oh alright.” A small smile crept along his lips, “take care mein dear. See you latah.” He took a deep sigh, watching her as she departed.
“Because it’s cheap und delicious!~ Nao give mich some of zhat sour cream!~ Ahaha!~” *wiggles eyebrows*

“I had to faint at that exact moment…” Altaira cried. She felt Alfons’s reassuring embrace, and she started to calm down. Bit by bit, she stopped sobbing until her cries were but sniffles. Looking up at Alfons, she wiped her tears away on her sleeves. “Danke foh understanding, mein Freund,” she said, breaking into a tearful smile.
She broke the hug at last and looked at the Sniper on the ground. “Ve should do something about ze Sniper,” she said regretfully. The Sniper who died to try to save Ember and protect her. She felt a twang of guilt. “I shall do ze best I can. In ze meantime, Alfons, you should take a break and rest.”
She ran outside. The rain has stopped, leaving the ground soft with mud. She opened the storage shed, took out a shovel, and dug a long, deep hole. It took a considerable amount of time, but it did not take up too much of her energy because the ground was so easy to dig into. She dragged the Sniper’s body outside and gently lowered him into the grave along with his weapons. She buried him, and put some wildflowers from her backyard on one end of the grave site. She whispered a quick prayer before she went back inside. Who knows where mercenaries go after they die?
Altaira felt a sudden drain in her energy. She had been too busy panicking, she hadn’t noticed how tired she has become. Every muscle in her body ached, and her head was fuzzy, begging for sleep. “Alfons…” she turned to the Medic beside her, “I’m afraid I cannot drive you back tonight. Eet is very late, and—” she yawned, “I zhink ve might crash into something if I tried to drive right now. I am sawry.”
“Zhere eez a guest room upstairs eef you vant to stay heeah foh ze night. Please, make yourself at home, eet’s ze least I can do…” Her voice trailed off as she walked up the stairs, beckoning him to follow.
He embraced her tighter and his hands ran along her back in order to keep her from crying. Ever so slowly her tears and whimpering had faded. She sniffled as she thanked Alfons. He drew his head back slightly and returned his response with a warm smile.
They broke each other’s embrace and both looked at the deceased Sniper. He wasn’t sure what she will do with the body, but he did as he was told. He nodded and went towards the fireplace, sitting at the one of the couches, patiently waiting. He never had thought, the clam hours spent earlier was to break out into such unexpected chaos. He turned, looking out at the nearest window. It was drizzling outside. The clouds began to fade, leaving out the sun to partly shine.
His head jolted as he saw Altaira come in. Her hair and clothes were drenched to the bone. Her hands were partly covered in mud, but he did not bother to question. Besides Altaira looked too weary and too distressed to even answer such nonsense, “nein, noh need to vorry about mich.” He thought her health was more important than going home. He rubbed her shoulder, “it’s been a long day, you need to get some rest…”
Altaira made her way ahead of him to show his room, “oh, vhy thank you.” Alfons followed trying to avoid a conversing talk and remained silent.

The gate was already at a close distance away. Why, of all times that time would begin to slip through her fingers so quickly. She let go of his hand and instead, wrapped her arm around his to get a little closer. Her heart was beating quickly, the feeling of adrenaline pouring into her system made her pupils contract. Why. Just wh-
His soothing voice penetrated the anxiety, how Alfons cooed and made her tense muscles relax. As they passed the gate, her gaze found itself scanning over the notice board. “Alfons…zhere ist a small falconry zhat just opened up on zhe other side of zhis place.” Eva wasn’t surprised, wide open fields were great to launch these types of birds and train them. She immediately thought of her bird before, adding onto the pain of losing Alfons soon. But it wouldn’t hurt to visit…right?
As much as Eva tried to stir up a conversation, she tended to be a quiet person especially when her heart strings are fragile. She wasn’t afraid to let herself feel her emotions for once around people since he came into her life.
She felt her hands letting go, instead it wrapped around his arm. His arm leaned closer to his own so it can bring them closer together. Eva was quiet than usual, maybe because she was listening to him talk or she was having too much in her mind. Either way, it made him a bit concerned. He tried to calm her by rubbing her arm with his other hand.
His head rose along with his eyebrows, “oh zhere ist? I am surprised you noticed et.” He remembered about the falcon she had before, but she had to let him go. Maybe she wanted to go just to be reminded of him, “shure ve can goh zhere. You knoh I like burds.” He forgot to ask Sniper about the falcons, but now that he recalled he planned something more than just that. He wanted to give her something, something that she can cherish and remember him.
They walked ahead at the hot yet breezy day. Letting the cold wind pass like the time had.

She looks up at him. “Im just getting the vibes, Alfons.” she smiles softly grabbing her plate from him and fixing it up for herself. In a low tone, “I kind of thought you did. I like it.” She looks up and sits down sitting her plate in front of her.
He smiled, “vell you ah very gut zhen~” She took the plate from him and helped herself. Suddenly the coffee maker beeped, telling them that it was ready, “oh~” He took the coffee filled container and gently poured halfway into each cup. He got milk from the fridge along with packets of sugar from the cabinets. He sat across from her and smiled, “looks gut, danke schoen~” He placed the utensils on to hers then to his own, “let’s eat shall ve?~”

Hein nodded to Alfons as the man left the bathroom. The size of the tub didn’t really matter to him, all he knew was that it was lovely to be in water again. He hummed lowly to himself as he swept his hand through the water, watching the tiny waves it created. The tapping of the doctors shoes faded away as Heinrich leaned back against the edge of the tub, red eyes rose to look at the ceiling as he tried to ignore the pain that the bite gave him. For being in such danger he was far calmer than he thought he could be. He was in the hands of a friend, so everything would be alright… right?
When Alfons returned to the room Heinrich turned his attention back to the man. Curiously he looked over the items that he had brought with him. They were odd things indeed but he didn’t open his mouth to question. Heinrich nodded at the question, letting out a low growl more at himself than Alfons. Lifting his bit tentacle he moved it so the man could see it clearly.
He had nearly forgotten about cleaning the wound, so before grabbing his tentacle he opened one packets of the cleaning wipes, “ve haff to clean et before ve start und to avoid any infection.” He grabbed the tentacle, looking for the bite. It was located by his mid appendage, “ah here.” He began to wipe the wound gently. It might have stung a little, but if it did it means it was doing its work. Next was the suction device. The device looked like a syringe, but more into suction than injecting. At it’s tip, it had a circular cup like shape and above was a handle to lift upward. He placed the circular suction on top of the wound. He switched a button to suck inward and cause the tentacle skin to lift up forming a lump. Alfons gently lifted the plunger. As he did some of the yellow venom drew up inside the barrel. He did not stop until the plunger can no longer lift any higher. He pushed the switch again to stop the suction. The barrel was nearly full, “vow zhat’s a lot,” opening the cap and pouring the the rest into the empty flask. “Alright ve vill be repeating the process.” He did the same process over and over again until the device could not suck any more venom out anymore. It took about less than fifteen minutes until it was nearly over. He wiped the wound again with the disinfectant, “alright vone more step.” He took the glass of water handing it over to Heinrich. Then got the medicine bottle and started to open the cap, “here take vone of zhis,” he shook it until one pill came out, “zhis vill help supress vhatevah ist left en your body,” and handed it over to Heinrich.

When he was by Ivis, he felt more calm, but with Siv her aura was quite overwhelming. He was still hungry but he was unsure if he trusted her. He began to blush, “v-vhat? B-bite mich?” He looked over at Ivis, seeing what she was going to say next.
“…Tiring.” She rubs her forehead yawning. Her coat was unbuttoned, and a little crinkled. Her shirt underneath was a white button up blouse with a black tie hooked around her neck. Her hair was a little bit messy as well, but she seemed too tired to care. “So, how did you do, Alfons?” She looks up at him trying to crack a smile.
He came closer for easy communication, “tiring? Vell, I am shure you vill get used to et soon enough.” Though it seems Anna was not lying; her eyes looked weary and her energy had died down the last time he saw her. “Oh mich? Ah not soh gut…” he sighed, “mein goal vas to respawn as minimal as possible, but today et did not happen.” He scratched his chin, “I haff been killed off by too many Snipahs und…backstabbing Spies ahaha~” Despite his disappointment, he was still happy about their victory, “but at least ve von zhe mission ja?~” “Oh ja,” he recalled earlier today, “by zhe vay, I heard rumahs of a new comrade killing off a Spy zhis morning. Just curious but…vas zhat you?”

Heinrigh perked up happily, his tentacles curling against themselves and his hands clasped together before him. “You vould do that for mich?” The simple thought of free fish made him more happy than he could remember. He chuckled. “Just don’t start to get mich fat ja? Haha.”
He nodded, “ja vhy not?~ I really vant to~” He likes to makes his friends happy because it makes him feel the same way. Alfons was amused by his joke, “haha~ Hei et’s bettah zhan to be too skinny~,” he pointed at him. He was ready to depart, “vell I vill be off. I vill come back next time vith food alright?~” He waved farewell, “nice zeeing und talking to you again Herr Heinrich!~”
