It’s been awhile since someone visited. Archimedes fly closer to them, being all nosy and excited as always. Not only does the birds accompany the doctor but they are also his little friends. As he was prepared he saw the Sniper’s dazed look as he looked around his surroundings. Doctor knew he was slightly bothered by something but he did not question him. Instead, he warned and heard his reply, “Vhy of course, of course~”
As Sniper undresses, he watched intently as he saw him struggle, being all helpless. Medic gazed until Sniper asked for help, “Oh sawry, how rude of mi!,” doctor scurried over as he helped carefully disrobe his shirt, trying not to hurt his wounds, “Der yu goh~” Doctor tried not to look at him as he rushed to grab the tools. Medic felt a little embarrassed, or possibly dumbfounded. He came closer and turned on the medigun set to high so he will feel only little pain, “Lay down en tri toh relax.” He tried not to show it but he seemed to be obviously flustered, but he doesn’t know why.
First the Medic will start out with the trickiest part and the rest should easy. He started out an incision on his ribcage, diverging the skin away so that it will give an allowance. He then used his left hand to slowly push the bone back to place. Next was the broken arm, he brought the medigun closer as it slowly healed the bones inside but not easily positioning the skin normally. So the doctor had to physically do it by his own hands. Then came to his scars; some were located on his upper body but mostly on his stubble face. The medic grabbed his chin carefully in order to have a closer look. He said nothing and proceeded as he brought the medigun to close the scars, “there yu goh, nice en eazy~ Wasn’t too bad waz et?~” He began to smile at him, “How dew yu pheel?~ Bettah?~” He chuckles.
The sniper silently observes him as he helps to undo his shirt before the medic quickly turns away. What, as he embarrassed? Tss. He should be used to see people undressing no? Well never-mind. The cold of the table cause him to shivers, light goosebumps appears on his skin and the warm waves of medicine gun is more than welcome, already easing his pain. He places his arm in a way so he could easily access to his broken rib. But he wasn’t doing well on the relaxing part, he can’t take a deep breath without feeling pain and his heartbeat increase and soon the surgical blade break through the skin and flesh of his side. He had forgot how odd it felt to be cut open. To be willing to it. He tilts his head on the side and shuts his eyes. There wasn’t any real pain; but it was still really uncomfortable. All that for some broken bones. Maybe he should just have cut his own throat when he had the occasion. He represses a grunt as he feels the rib bone forced back into place — and it feels horrible. The medic quickly pass to his arm, this time the feeling is a bit more bearable since it was less sensitive; the medigun already healing the bones back together. He finally relax, thinking that the operation was finished but he can’t think of it any longer as Alfons grabs his chin. The gesture is soft and that’s what actually surprise him the most. He stares in the other eyes for a brief moment before turning his gaze away, it was damn too close for comfort; even if it’s only for a minute, enough time for the thin slashes on his face to close; leaving traces of dried blood.
At the end of the operation he’s still breathing heavily, he wipes some cold sweat from his forehead and gives a quick look to the Medic. Tss, the other man could have start to whistle it wouldn’t have surprised him.
“Well… ” He tries to moves his arm, relieved not to feel any more pain. “Seems like everything is okay.” He could still see some faint marks where the wounds had been, but they would disappear in a couple of days.
“Mhmm. Could have been worse. Thanks Doc, Ah owe yah one. ” He gives him a weak smile; now that he could relax all his exhaustion was coming back. He could have even starts sleeping on the operation table if the place wasn’t so creepy. Plus he was still covered in blood, no way he could sleep like that. He slowly sits up and drops his legs on the side, he feels light headed so he preferred to take things slow instead trying to stands up and probably crash on the floor.
The Snipers nervousness during the procedure made the doctor uneasy, possibly in a good kind of way? He felt his cold sweat , feeling his heart pacing under his skin. Sniper was uncomfortable when he grabbed his chin but the doctor was so into his work that he didn’t notice.
“Noh problem Snipah. Anytime.” After the operation Richard was relieved just by judging from his words but Medic knew something was off, “are yu ohkay?” No response. Sniper tries to stand up but it seems his body had so much stress that he began to sway heavily. The doctor knew it wasn’t a good idea to head out at that kind of state. Medic dropped his tools and wiped his hands quickly before Richard started to feel faint. He almost fell to the ground but Alfons came on time to grab him, “Dis es noght a gudd idea. Here let’s give yu sume rest,” he sighed. He slowly led him out of the medical room going out to a narrow hallway. (He is still in no good condition. Might as well have him stay for tonight.)
Medic opened the door with one hand while the other supporting Richard’s weight. They ended up in Medics research office; the table was scattered and there were some doves unsoundly asleep. Adjacent of the room was medic’s bed, untouched and clean. That’s where he wanted Richard to sleep, “Yu are welcome to sleep foh tonite,” he slowly put Richard down until he was comfortable. “Vait, I’ll be rite bakk~” Medic rushed out to the other side of the room until you can’t see him no more. There was rustling and plates slightly clashing in the background. The doctor came back with a pile of new set of clothes and a glass of water. (I hope my clothes will fit him.) He placed them on to the mini table near the bed, “Here yu goh~ If yu need anything just let me knoh. I vill be on the othah side of zhe room.” (I guess I’ll sleep on the couch. Not that I mind of course.) Alfons clasped his hands and smiled, “Sleep vell. I vill see yu tomorroh. Goodnight~”
:It took him a while to accept that he needed help. The pain wasn’t the problem, he could deal with it, but the weird angle of his arm and the bit of bone poking out of the now bloody skin of his right arm was something else. He rubs his cheek, trying to wipe off the blood on his…
He’s glad he didn’t had to wait long before the door open; if the medic hadn’t be here, he probably would have wait for him like a lost pup. “Hope it’s not too late to come and say hello.” It probably wasn’t the best moment to try to joke, but he seems to him like the Medic was overreacting; it was just a broken arm, some cuts and bruises. Okay and maybe a broken rib too. “‘T’s okay Doc, ‘t’s not as bad as it look, and some of the blood ain’t even mine.” He tries to chuckles, hoping it would make the situation seem less dramatic, but he cringes and puts his hand over his side as he felt a twinge of pain. “Or maybe it is.” He sighs again and reluctantly places his left arm over the smaller man shoulder and let him guide them to the medic bay. “Well, long story short- Hn-, was on Pipeline tonight, we won but ah kinda had some trouble with a BLU heavy. And of course we didn’t had a medic; ‘got lucky he was out of ammo.” He leans a little more against the Doctor, he felt like he fought for hours and was exhausted. And embarrassed. He claimed to be a professional, but here he was, covered in blood and depending on a teammate. They finally reach the door after some long minutes and enter the room after the Medic opened it. This room always gave him the shills, he tried to avoid it as much as he could, but it wasn’t the moment to be childish. He slowly sits down on the medical table with a low grunts and thanks him with a nod.
The doctor wasn’t surprised. (Trying to cover up is he? How reckless.) He heard his joke sparingly as he saw him flinch in pain as he spoke, “Dun’t push yourself and be careless,” he held him gingerly, “you are still hurt you knoh. We’ve got toh gwet dis cleaned up.”
Doctor listened to his story as they walked along. He raised an eyebrow, “Vhat a teem going toh battle without a medic? Zhat’s like suicide,” he gasped, “yu should have called mi to help yu.” Doc tried not to answer seriously but his worries goes to show you how much he cares. Suddenly Sniper leaned more weight on him. He knew he was enervated, so the doctor moved quickly.
As they entered the room, the doves fluttered around with excitement, especially when it came to Archimedes. He carefully put Sniper down on the patients chair and hurried to set up the stage. It was disorganized as usual but the doctor is the only one who remembers where he places his equipments. The sound of clattering echoed around the room as the doctor started mumbling and searching, “Ohkay….zhere…noohh……..—Aha!~” He placed the medigun above them and laid the tools on the tray. Doctor was ready, of course if the patient was too, “Are you ready Snipah?~” The doctor started to get excited when it came to medical procedures.
:It took him a while to accept that he needed help. The pain wasn’t the problem, he could deal with it, but the weird angle of his arm and the bit of bone poking out of the now bloody skin of his right arm was something else. He rubs his cheek, trying to wipe off the blood on his face. It wasn’t the kind of ‘visit’ he had in mind when he had told the man that he’ll try to come and see him. He takes a moment to calm his breathing, and let’s be honest, to put his pride aside; and finally knocks on the door with his valid hand.:
It was late evening in the medical office, the lamp slightly jumbled as the doves were flocking about. It was only a man with his spectacles, examining the scattered documents on the table.
The room grew silent as the doctor was deeply focusing— until he heard a slight knock on the door. (Who could this be at this late hour?) Medic was a bit agitated but he stood up and walked towards the door. He slowly opened it without asking for an advance warning. He answered as he smiled, “How may I hel—,” his words stopped as he was shocked to see the helpless Sniper covered in blood. He was badly hurt; his arm was maimed and his bone was peeking out of his skin. Sniper was was in a lot of pain but his face didn’t show it. “Vhat happened?!” Medic was slightly panicking, “Here, let me help yu,” the Doctor slouched over beside him to offer him to put his weight over his shoulders and the doctor wrapped his arm around his back.
They slowly start walking towards the medical room.
